Friends of Francisco Park,
With October comes an exciting new phase to the site of our future park, and we are thrilled to provide you with an update.
Beginning this month, construction crews are working to fill the reservoir, which will prepare the space for construction of the main lawn and oval pathways.
Of course, it is your continued commitment that has allowed us to reach this point. While base park construction begins, we are still working hard to fundraise an additional $2.5 million to preserve a few key features of the park. These features include the community garden, overlook, and other areas that we believe will truly set Francisco Park apart.
For larger donations, we have an array of naming opportunities available – from picnic tables to park benches, from the great lawn to the community garden to the rainwater capture system. Certainly, a donation of any size is greatly appreciated. Francisco Park will reflect the dedication and generosity of the many citizens who made it possible.
Perhaps one of the most incredible things about this project is that it will be here beyond all of our lifetimes. Your contribution to Francisco Park is a contribution to the entire city of San Francisco – and it is one that will last.
